Hey, I’m Sabrina.

Welcome to my digital portfolio.

I’m a new graduate of the Public Relations program at Western University and recently completed my practicum as a communications intern at Ivey Business School.

As an emerging public relations professional, my mission is to craft captivating narratives that not only engage audiences but also elevate and enhance a brand’s image. I’m forward-thinking, analytical, and have a keen eye for detail that translates to my passion for storytelling.

  • Creating effective messaging is one of my top skills. I have experience with writing feature articles, press releases, media pitches, blogs, and more, and have proven to incorporate creativity and brand journalism into my pieces. Browse my writing samples here.

One of my tasks in my past role at Ivey Business School was to produce content and edit student blogs for Ivey News. This has allowed me to develop my skills as an editor by ensuring proper CP Style and brand guidelines are followed.

  • Harnessing authenticity and credible information is essential to any communications piece. In my past role at Ivey Business School, I had the pleasure of interviewing students to gain firsthand perspectives of their experiences in programs, travel opportunities, and extra-curricular activities to inform articles for the School's news page.

  • In public relations, research is essential when it comes to shaping strategies and understanding your audience. The Research Methods for Public Relations course at Western Continuing Studies has taught me the importance of using tools like monitoring software, surveys, social media metrics, and analytics to measure the success of branding and publicity efforts.

  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and CanvaPro, I bring a keen eye for detail to my work. I'm competent in creating polished, visually appealing content that enhances brand messaging and engages audiences, from social media graphics to professional communication plan layouts.

  • Over the past year, I have familiarized myself with several software programs directly related to public relations work including Umbraco CMS, Hootsuite, Campaign Monitor, Meltwater Media Monitoring, and MS Office Suite.
